I've been struggling with finding a good book that I could finish and I wanted a somewhat quick read. Unexpected Gift was exactly what I was looking for. It's an Enemies to Lovers, Workplace Romance with an unexpected pregnancy. Sawyer and Amelia were so good together and I really enjoyed reading their romance. I would have loved some more intimacy between them but overall it was a great story and it was well written and of course it had some steamy scenes that were so good! I would give this book 4 stars.

“I’ll get straight to the point,” he said immediately. “I don’t tolerate threats against my person.”
“How do you know I was talking about you?” I asked, startling myself a little. Mr. Reynolds’s eyebrows went up, just a little. “I-I mean, I never said your name. I could have been talking about anyone.”
He nodded, and then reached behind himself to grab a crumpled paper off the desk. The page I’d ripped out, that I was going to burn. The one where I was pretty sure I’d explicitly written the words “killing my boss.” I swallowed, and he must have known from the horror I couldn’t disguise from my face that I knew exactly what he was referencing.
“As I was saying,” he went on, “I would fire you in a heartbeat. If.”
That word hung in the air between us. If. If what? Was he seriously not firing me, even after this? What else was going to happen? What was worse than being fired? Was he banishing me from the country? Could he do that?
“If I didn’t have a better job offer for you. One that I think will be more … enticing.”
