The Ritual by Shantel Tessier is a dark romance with some triggers so make sure you take caution before you start reading. I honestly had seen so many TikTok's about this book and reviews and people just talking about this book and I downloaded it awhile ago but I didn't start reading it for awhile and I'm not really sure why. It was suspenseful and dark which I really loved. Ryat is a college student who is part of a secret cult like society. Blakely is a college Junior who has a boyfriend who she is suppose to marry. Things start to get spicy when Ryat become obsessed with Blakely and turns a little stalkerish which I am completely here for. There was a lot of suspense and lots of spicy kink. I'm not usually into bondage and BDSM spice but I overlooked it because I did like the story. This book was pretty good and definitely lived up to the hype. I would give this book 4 stars.

The tenderness a contradiction to his threatening words. “And you will continue to be mine forever.”
