The Proposal by L. Steele is a faking relationship/enemies to lovers romance. Isla is a wedding planner and planning a wedding that will really put her business on the map. Liam wants to get married so he can fulfill the terms of his inheritance. Isla becomes close with the bride to be and gives her advice that causes her to break off the engagement with Liam. Of course this upsets Liam and he forces Isla to step in as his bride to be. Liam and Isla haven't gotten along since day one so it's a little surprising that Liam would choose her as his back up bride but she can't risk Liam's threats so she agrees to his demands. This book was a little dragged out for me. I was hoping for a little more angst and drama. Also all the side characters bored me a little bit, I felt like there wasn't as much Liam and Isla one on one time as I would have liked. Isla does have a big secret that she is keeping and that part of the book was interesting to me and kept me engaged and reading. I would give this book 3 stars.
