The Ninth Inning by J. Sterling

I devoured this book, it was so good! J. Sterling writes the best YA baseball romances! I honestly was tempted to skip this book and get right to Chance Carter's book because .... Jack F'ing Carters son, hello! But I am so glad that I didn't skip Cole's book! I loved reading Cole's and Christina's book. Cole and Christina have been hooking up since their Freshman year of college, until about seven months ago when Cole cut it off. They've avoided seeing each other until they see each other at a party and Cole finally realizes that he was an idiot and he starts working at getting Christina back and making things right/giving Christina the kind of relationship she really deserves. It was such a good book, with just the right amount of drama, sports, and love! Also Christina's roommate Lauren was so funny and of course I cannot wait for the next book in the series! I would rate this book with 5 stars!

Favorite Excerpt:

“I shouldn’t have done that though. Not in front of everyone, but it was killing me to see him touching you. I wanted to rip his limbs off, so he couldn’t ever do it again.” Cole sounded so sincere that I couldn’t help but believe him.

“Why was it killing you?” I asked, so desperate to hear the answer that I could practically taste it on my tongue.

“Because you’re mine, Christina. You’ve always been mine. And everyone knows it.” He squeezed his eyes closed before staring at our hands.
