The Games We Play by Melissa Toppen is an enemies to lovers college romance. Bexley and Rome grew up with each other, always having to hang out because their parents are best friends. Rome knew he could never have Bexley, so he became her bully and was mean to her growing up but he also couldn't not be a part of her life, so when it came time to going away to college, he followed her to Texas. When Bexley finally starts seeing a guy, Rome can't take seeing them together and decides he isn't going to stay away from her anymore. It does take some time for Bexley to believe that Rome isn't just playing another game and he really wants her, especially when he is still keeping a big secret from her. This book was good, I mean I am always a sucker for a guy who is possessive and jealous, and Rome was definitely that. I would give this book 4 stars.

“Because I know you.”
“Do you?” I cock a brow. “Let’s find out how much. Ask me a question.”
“Why have you always tried to sabotage every relationship I’ve ever had?” she fires off like she’s been holding that one in for quite a while.
“Because I can’t stand to see you with anyone else,” I answer with complete honesty, though I’m not surprised that she doesn’t seem to believe me.
“Why have you made a sport out of sleeping with all of my friends?”
“Because I was desperate to see you jealous. Desperate to know that you felt it, too.”
“Felt what?” She draws back, a nervous shake to her voice.
“This.” I gesture between us.
