Sweet Temptation by Cora Reilly

I've been struggling the last week or so with finding a book to really get into. I've had Sweet Temptation in my TBR for awhile now, Mostly after watching people on TikTok rave about the book. So I decided to bite the bullet and give it a try, and I'm glad that I did. TikTok hasn't been wrong thus far with their book suggestions. Sweet Temptation is a mafia romance which is one genre that I really adore. It's an age-gap romance which isn't my favorite genre but I'm always willing to give that one a try. I loved how strong Guilia was and how she always wanted to find the good in everything. I loved how even though she was so young and had a lot to learn, she really gave being a wife and mother everything she had! Guilia was everything that Cassio and his kids needed. It was such a good read! I will be checking out more of Cora Reilly's books! I would rate this book 4 stars.

Favorite Excerpt:

That was too much for Dad. “Maybe this was a mistake, and I should cancel our agreement.”

Cassio moved in front of Dad, staring down at him with a look that turned my stomach. “We shook hands on the engagement, Felix. We settled matters with Luca. Everything is agreed upon. Given that we decided against a separate engagement, that makes Giulia my fiancée, and I’m telling you now that nobody, least of all you, will prevent this marriage.”

Maybe Cassio hadn’t wanted me, but he certainly wouldn’t allow anyone to take me away from him.
