Second Chance Mine by M. Robinson

Second Chance Mine by M. Robinson is a second chance romance. I really wanted to love this book. I came across a blurb that made this book sound so good and the description pushed me to buy this book. Paige and Adrian were neighbors growing up. Paige became best friends with Adrian's younger brother Cade and that kind of made Paige off limits to him. But even though she was off limits to him, he made sure she was off limits to every other guy too. Fast Forward through the years and during college Paige and Adrain begin a secretive affair, until it ends abruptly with Paige losing both Adrain and Cade. This book time hops from when Paige was 19 and in college to 10 years later when Paige is forced to become Adrian's executive assistant and move in with him. Adrain is still in love with Paige but she hates him and doesn't want to give him a second chance. The book has a little bit of suspense with Paige's life being in danger. The things I didn't like about this book was there were quite a few errors, missed words that made sentences not make sense. I let the first one pass but when it continued throughout the book it really started to bother me. This next thing might make me picky but there was a song that was playing during one part that took place ten years ago but the song was a current song that came out in 2022, so it just made it seem like it was rushed and for a book that I paid for I just kind of expected a better more well thought out book without all the errors. I would rate this book with 3 stars.

Favorite Excerpt:

“Fine! Where’s my bed?”

“Excuse me?”

“You heard me.”

I narrowed my eyes at her, amused by her dramatic behavior.

“Don’t look at me like that. Miss April showed me to my room and there there was no bed. There’re two nightstands, a TV, an armoire, there’s even a headboard, but there’s no mattress on the bedframe.”

I knowingly innocently shrugged. “Your guess is as good as mine.”

She glared at me.

“Until we find out what happened to your mattress, you’re going to have to sleep in my bed with me.”
