Right Man, Right Time by Meghan Quinn

Right Man, Right Time by Meghan Quinn is a romantic comedy sports romance. Ollie is a college intern who feels backed into a corner so, she makes up that she has a boyfriend to her nemesis who also happens to be dating Ollie's ex-boyfriend. In order to prove her boyfriend lie, she find the only guy at the bar who looks to be alone, goes up to him and asks if she can kiss him, then she asks him to pretend to be her boyfriend, not having any clue who the guy is. The guy she kissed, Silas, just so happens to be a hockey player that is pretty well known. Silas thinks maybe having a fake girlfriend is exactly what he needs, since his cheating ex girlfriend is back in his life. I couldn't put this book down, I really enjoyed it. Silas was a grumpy hockey player who was so afraid of another relationship after he was hurt so badly by his ex and Ollie was so patient with him and pushed him when he needed it so she could get what she wanted, him. I have read a few other books by Meghan Quinn and some people from those books are mentioned in this book, so I always enjoy interconnected books. 4 stars.

“How old are you?”

She tilts her head. “Twenty-one. How old are you?”

“Thirty-one,” I answer.

“Ew, you’re in your thirties?”

The fuck?

“It’s not like I said I was sixty,” I snap.

“Still . . . thirties, so old.”

“It’s not that fucking old,” I shoot back. Although, I’m starting to really feel those long nights on the ice lately.

“Still, ten years difference? That means when I was born, you were hitting the double digits. You could have been my babysitter. You’re a decade older than me, a near generation. Ew, I kissed an old man.”

“You kissed an experienced man,” I point out, growing irritated. “More than I can say for your ex who looked like he still watches Rugrats on Saturday mornings.”

“What’s Rugrats?”

“For fuck’s sake,” I say, dragging my hand over my face. “So what are you doing in college still? Getting your master’s?”

“No, bachelor’s in journalism, heading into my senior year of college.”

Jesus fuck.

She’s so young.
