Mr. Silver was such a good book. I have read the first three books in the Kings Of Cypress Pointe series and I enjoyed those books, so I thought I would give one of the standalone's a try and I was not disappointed. Sterling and Lexi were such a good pairing, I loved reading their story so much! Lexi and Sterling get thrown together when Sterling gets arrested and he uses Lexi as an alibi and even though Lexi hates Sterling for something he did to her in the past, she decides to go along with his alibi and they fake date each other. I always love a good fake relationship romance trope. I would rate this book 4 stars, it took me longer than usual only because it was the holidays and I was away for a week but otherwise I think this book would be a pretty quick read.

“What would you say if I told you… I don’t want to pretend anymore?”
The question has me spinning his words about ten different ways. And the likelihood of any of those ways being what he’s actually trying to say are slim to none.
“Guess I’m not sure what you mean.”
“I mean, I…” he trails off and I feel his heart pick up speed. “I mean, I’ve been thinking. Not just this past weekend, not just since Saturday. And what I’ve come up with is that… I want this to be real. I want us to be real.”
