Holidate by Monica Murphy is a sweet romantic Christmas romance book! Candice loves Christmas and every event that goes along with the holiday. Charles is a bit of a grump and even though his lively hood centers around Christmas time, he doesn't enjoy it at all. Candice and Charles get thrown together by when Charles' Mom asked Candice to help Charles by introducing him around at the holiday events since eventually he will be taking over the Family business. Charles is less than thrilled with the whole thing and makes it pretty difficult for Candice to do what she said she would. It was a quick read for me and gives small town and Hallmark Christmas movie vibes. I enjoyed reading this book, I would give it 4 stars.

He glares at me. Then reaches over and swipes my latte, taking a huge swig. I can only stand there, gaping at him as he finishes off my beloved gingerbread latte, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand when he’s finished. “Damn, that was good.” “You—animal. You stole my drink!” I grab the to-go cup and shake it. I don’t think there’s even a drop left.
“It was delicious.” He licks at the corner of his lips, like he’s trying to have one last taste, and I ignore the way my blood runs hot at first sight of his stupid tongue. “What was it?” “A gingerbread latte from Sweet Dreams,” I tell him, unable to keep the snide tone out of my voice. “My absolute favorite.” “I can see why.”
