Ferrara by T L Swan

Ferrara was such a good book! I finished it in a day even though there was over 500 pages. Ferrara is a mafia romance with some forbidden love. Giuliano and Francesca meet when he is 18 and she is 17. They have an instant attraction to each other and fall in love even though Francesca is forbidden from having a boyfriend and they have to constantly sneak around to see and talk to each other. This all comes to an end when they are caught and find out some devastating news ... fast forward 10 years and they are still in each others lives but have managed to avoid each other. I loved how strong their love was for each other, even 10 years later. I will admit that I didn't read The Italian which was recommended but not required. I think I would still go back and read it and I am so excited for the next book, Valentino in this series. There were a few questions I was left with at the end of this book that I don't feel was answered in this book but ultimately it was a great suspenseful mafia book. I would give this book 4 stars.

Favorite Excerpt:

We stare at each other, alone in the darkened hall. The air circles between us and it’s still there.

Like a tangible entity, I can feel it between us. A force to be reckoned with.

“Don’t marry him,” he murmurs.

“Why not?”

“Because I asked you not to.”

My heart constricts as we stare at each other and then, without another word, he turns and disappears down the hall.

I walk back into my room and I lock that fucking door.
