Devil's Kiss by Faith Summers

Devil's Kiss by Faith Summers is a dark mafia romance. Anastasia is ready to marry the man she is in love with, when another man shows up at the wedding claiming to the older brother of the man she was suppose to marry. Desmier claims he is the rightful heir of the Volkova family and therefore he is the one who should marry Anastasia, per the marriage contract. Desmier has one purpose, to get revenge on the people responsible for her mother's death, he doesn't care who he hurts along the way. This book was well written with a lot of detail, which at times I found confusing. Sort of like a fantasy book to me with the different names of things that I've never really heard of before. I also felt that it dragged on a little bit. I think the book could have been trimmed down some. It still kept my attention enough and intrigued me so I finished reading it. I would give this book 4 stars.

Favorite Excerpt:

“Valkyrie,” he says, and parts of my heart heal just hearing him call me that. “Every man in this building has his eyes on you in this dress.”

“I just need one guy looking at me.”

“He is.”

“Then I hope he can look into my soul and see how I truly feel about him.”

The guard drops from his eyes, and he inches closer. I inhale him, committing his scent to memory.

“Be careful, Valkyrie. The angel shouldn’t fall for the devil.”

I have the perfect answer. He thinks I’m the angel, but I’m not. It’s him. He’s the avenging angel, while I’m the devil’s daughter.

“Then maybe you shouldn’t fall for me.”
