Complete by Kortney Keisel is a Romantic Comedy book with a friends to lovers trope. This is a new author for me but I saw a TikTok that made this book sound good so I decided to check it out. Complete is definitely a sweet rom-com and I really enjoyed reading it. The book starts out like nine years in the past when Brooke and Ben first meet. When Ben finds out Brooke is a bit younger, her deletes her number. Fast forward a few years and they have a few more random meetings until they finally decide to go for it and kiss.... and it was the worst kiss ever. So they both agreed to try to just be friends. They become best friends for five years and everything is going great, until Brooke realizes she's in love with Ben and she wants more. Ben is a bit oblivious and doesn't ever want to get married but he wants Brooke to be happy so he decides to push Brooke into dating one of his clients. Only that plan kind of blows up in his face when he doesn't seem to really like someone taking Brooke away from him. It was a sweet book and for sure a slow burn but I enjoyed it. It was a little change up to my usual tropes. I would rate this book with 4 stars.

“What’s your offer?”
“What?”
“I’m a free agent now, and I want to know what your offer is. Make me a deal.”
I smile, feeling like this moment’s been a long time coming.
“Sixty years, with fifty years guaranteed happiness.”
She raises one brow. “Only fifty years guaranteed happiness?”
“Okay, fine.” I take one step forward. “Sixty years guaranteed happiness.”
“I want the option of forever.”
My smile widens. I take another step forward. “I want that, too.”
“And what are the incentives?”
“Two kids—”
“Four,” she cuts in.
My brows hike up. “Three.”
“Fine,” she concedes.
“And a house with a big yard for them to run around in, maybe some hibiscus plants.”
“And calla lilies.”
“Yes, those, too.” I take another step toward her. “And dinner and games at least once a month with your family.”
“Those are some good incentives.” She nods.
“Don’t forget about the signing bonus.” I take the last two steps, so I’m standing right in front of her.
“What’s the signing bonus?”
“A really good kiss.”
