Brutal Obsession by S. Massery is a dark enemies to lovers sports romance. I have read a few books by S. Massery that I really enjoyed and this book did not disappoint. I was sucked in from the description and once I started this book, I couldn't put it down. I feel like this book had everything you could want when it comes to dark romance. Violet is a college junior who has dream of being a prime donna ballerina. Greyson is the son of a Senator and used to getting everything he wants and having his father always bail him out of trouble. Greyson gets into a little trouble when he gets into a car accident and has to transfer to a new college so he can play hockey. The same accident that shattered Violet's leg and her dreams of being a ballerina. I just loved these two together, all the darkness and the obsession with each other. Greyson checked all of my dark romance boxes, with his possessiveness and his stalking. There's a crazy ex boyfriend and a stalker that gives a bit of suspense to the story, so it really keeps you guessing. I enjoyed this book so much and look forward to reading more of the hockey guys books. 5 stars!
