Blurred Lines is a prequel to the Rixon High series. The Rixon High series is a spin-off to the Rixon Raiders series, it tells the stories of the children of the characters from Rixon Raiders. You don't need to read Rixon Raiders to enjoy the Rixon High series but I think it'll help. Blurred Lines is a second chance/enemies to lovers story. Avery is the quarterback at Rixon High. Miley works on the school newspaper. They are both starting their Senior year but their story really started their Junior year when Miley decided to try out to be a cheerleader for a story she wanted to write about the athletes are her school and the special treatment they receive. Last year she tutored Avery and got close to him but once her story came out, she became enemy number one and Avery realized she had been lying to him, so he wanted nothing to do with her. Now into their Senior year, Miley is bullied and hated for what she wrote in her article last year and Avery hates her. They get pushed together when Miley is forced to write another article about the football team per the football Coach's request and she has to shadow Avery. This book was a short read and lets you see some of the people who will have full stories in the Rixon High Series. I am really looking forward to reading Lily's story! I would give this story 4 stars.

All summer I'd tried to forget her, and then I'd taken one look at her on the first day of school and everything had come rushing back. But my feelings for her were confusing. Hatred woven with attraction. Disappointment tangled with desire. I wanted her. I wanted Miley in a way I'd never wanted anyone else, but I also couldn't forget what she'd done to me, to the team.
