Bloodied Hands by Adelaide Forrest

Bloodied Hands is a second chance mafia dark romance book. Matteo and Ivory were together in High school. Matteo was a few years older and when he graduated, broke Ivory's heart. Ivory could never really get over the heartbreak, going through the years with her walls up. Ivory finds herself in the middle of a bank robbery and once the robbers recognize Ivory, they leave begging Ivory to tell Matteo they didn't touch her. Ivory gets confused about how they knew who she was and what Matteo had to do with it, so she seeks him out for answers. Once Matteo sees Ivory again, he decides that Ivory is his and he's no longer going to stay away from her. Matteo forces himself into Ivory's life, even when she makes it clear that she doesn't want to see him. This book was a good read, I enjoyed the story. It took me awhile to get into this book but I am glad that I stuck with it. I would give this book 3 stars.

Favorite Excerpt:

"If you ever let another man touch you, I'll kill him," he snarled, his voice so menacing I froze in horror. That voice left little doubt to the fact that he meant every word, summoned straight from the pits of Hell. "We are not in an open relationship. No one touches you. No one touches me. It is you and I from here on out. Am I understood?"

I nodded, staring at my legs as he spoke.

"The words, Ivory. I need the words."

"Yes, Matteo. I understand,"
