Baby for the Bosshole by Nadia Lee

Baby for the Bosshole by Nadia Lee is a rom-com, office romance with an accidental pregnancy. Amy has been working for workaholic boss Emmet for the past few years. She isn't a huge fan of her boss and is looking forward to the day she can give her two week notice. Emmet is a little oblivious of the fact that Amy isn't happy with her job, maybe because he's a little too obsessed with her personal relationships and keeping her away from any boyfriends she's had. It's a cute story and I enjoyed it. I just feel like there was a little bit missing. I didn't really get the vibes that Emmet was a "bosshole," workaholic yes, but he didn't really seem like a jerk. I also didn't really feel that deep love connection between them. It was a cute story though. I would rate it with 3 stars.

Favorite Excerpt:

“So are you just going to let that dickhead take her?” Sebastian asks. “Shouldn’t you go kick his ass and drag her back to L.A.?”

“And then what? Take away her cell phone and keep her in a cage? If she doesn’t want to stay, she won’t. She’s too smart and resourceful to remain in a situation she hates.” And I want her to choose to stay with me, not be forced into it because of money or the baby or anything else. I’ve always wanted her to choose me.

Perhaps that’s the reason I’m so bitter right now. She chose somebody else over me, when I’d choose her over anyone. It burns my gut to know she doesn’t feel even half of what I feel for her. If she did, she wouldn’t have left.
